The Funds, raised from merchandise sales, donations and other fundraising events, are used to facilitate professional library and information science networking events, such as LISSTEN’s Annual Resume and Interview Workshop, Professional Associations Day, Banned Books Week Read-A-Thon, and library tours.  Funds also help to pay for some of LISSTEN’s nominal operational costs.  The largest portion of LISSTEN’s funds is spent on the production of the SJSU-SLIS annual graduation ceremony for SLIS students in Southern California.
